“Meaning and Motion” was the title of this assignment in which students had to pick a historical figure and visualize + animate quote(s) of their chosen historical figure. I was simultaneously studying historical and modern architecture at the time, so I chose Le Corbusier, born Charles Édouard Jeanneret famously known as the father of architectural modernism.
Brainstorm notes
For the animation to be completed in a timely matter and look consistent throughout the scenes, I went with a limited color palette—black, white/grey, and one primary color. Knowing the kind of person that Le Corbusier was, I felt that yellow was more eccentric to his character.

The quote goes as follows:
“Architecture is the masterly, correct, and magnificent play of masses brought together in light. Our eyes are made to see forms in light; light and shade reveal these forms.
...Cubes, cones, spheres, cylinders, or pyramids are the great primary forms that light reveals to advantage; the image of these is distinct and tangible within and without ambiguity. It is for this reason that these are beautiful forms, the most beautiful forms."
